july 24, 2010 edit:
i just moved my wordpress install from blog/ to /, and i might have accidentally gotten rid of my original about page. thanks to caching on the internet, below is part of what it said on july 3. i suppose it still applies, though i have since graduated. :)
greetings! my name is marcia lee,
and my email is something rather obvious, using my first name, last name and gmail.i am a coterm master’s student at stanford university,
where i study computer science
with a specialization in human computer interaction!my bachelor’s was also in computer science,
except it was on the systems track.
as much as i love stanford,i am excited to graduate this june,
and move to seattle to work at microsoft!there, i hope to make use of what i’ve learned so far,
and to learn much more on my way to world domination.
see below? i am one of the 17:
chronicling my rise to the top of the searchable internet, how meta:

hey marcia lee,
i too am, well, marcia lee.
i live in venice, ca. i loved your shout out to other marcia lee’s.
just wanted to put my vote in and say that you are welcome to take top billing in the marcia lee google factory.
i actually added my (ex) husband’s name to my mix, so i’m still marcia lee gillis.
just happy to know you are making all marcia lee’s out here, proud.
sending you my marcia lee respect,
marcia!
Hi Marcia,
I just found out about the Khan Academy and completely nerd-gasmed at the awesomeness of it. As a fellow computer scientist, HCI-ist (well… more like roboticist), and Californian, I just wanted to salute you for what you are doing. I actually considered applying for PM positions myself, but ended up deciding to go the PhD route. Anyways, I sort of take vicarious satisfaction knowing what you’re doing.
Best of luck to you,
Brandon
